The Christmas season has started! While I confess to listening to Christmas music for several weeks, I did refrain from decorating for Christmas until after Thanksgiving.
The first decorations that went up were the advent boxes made by Great Aunt Annelise. During her visit with us this summer, she worked on constructing these little paper boxes filled with little chocolates for Elizabeth to enjoy during the advent season. The ledge in our living room is the perfect place to display them.
Elizabeth was very excited to open up the first box on 1 December. And the novelty has not worn off! Each night she looks inside with equal wonder and surprise.

Very cute! (the boxes and the girl) :-)
Is this a French Christmas tradition? What a great idea this was for her to make for her great-nieces!!!
