Sarah 7 month stats

I took Sarah for her well baby clinic visit and 6 month shots last week. Here are her latest stats:

length – 67 cm / 26.4 inches
weight – 7.110 kg / 15 lb 11 oz

Sarah is happy, laughing, social little girl. Her bright eyes and cheerful grin light up whatever room she is in. She loves, loves, loves people and is quick to smile at anyone who smiles at her. You can even get her to laugh by just smiling and laughing at her…no tickling required :) Her favorite activity when being held is to reach for your face. I love the feel of her little fingers grabbing my cheek. Her favorite person to watch is her big sister. As a side note, Elizabeth is growing into a very sweet big sister – generous with her kisses and loves to play with Sarah. We are working on teaching Elizabeth the finer art of sharing, as she so often immediately wants whatever toy Sarah is playing with. We are teaching her to ask Sarah if she can please borrow a toy. And we also are trying to refer to toys as “our toys” instead of allowing her to define something as “my toy”. 

Sarah is very curious and has reached the stage when breastfeeding becomes a challenge because she is too curious and wants to look around instead of focusing on eating. She remains a very easy and content baby. Easy to put down for her naps and to bed at night. Easily entertained by her toys (as long as she does not feel she is being ignored).  Her eating skills have dramatically improved in just the few weeks since we started feeding her real food. She loves eating and refuses nothing that is offered. The list of food she has eaten grows every day. (I am a big fan of baby led weaning and will probably write a blog post just about why some day soon.) We laugh at how focused she is on the food in front of her…eyeing it up until she gets her own to eat. Her first two teeth are just below the surface and should pop out in the next few days.

Even though this is my second time through these developmental stages, I am equally amazed by her growth.
